These systems feature a choice of catheter materials and a fully encased needle protection design for smooth insertion. As the PROTECTIV catheter is advanced, a built-in needle guard encases the entire needle to help protect you against accidental needle sticks. A push-off tab facilitates one-handed threading to help you keep your hand behind the needle until it is safely locked within the needle guard. A click confirms that it has been secured. Choose PROTECTIV catheters made of PTFE material or PROTECTIV Plus catheters made of Ocrilon polyurethane. Both systems are also available with a winged hub for easier taping and securement. Catheters are color coded by gauge for easy identification.
