Description

Adult CO2 detector is an easy and fast airway assessment tool used to examine the level of carbon dioxide in the exhaled breath of a patient. It is a single-use detector and is designed for adults. The detector comes with a non-toxic pH-sensitive indicator that works by a shift from purple to yellow color when carbon dioxide is exhaled. The visual indicator is large enough to easily examine the color change. The detector is mounted in a position where the responders or clinicians could effectively view the carbon dioxide levels without having the need to look away from the patient.

The CO2 detector not only confirms cardiac output during CPR but it also verifies correct endotracheal tube placement. It also allows rapid breathing response to be seen effectively. Note that the detector contains anti-fogging agents that reduce the susceptibility to humidity and moisture and therefore ensure the clarity of the lens.

The adult CO2 detector is designed in a way to comply with the standards of care guidelines from the American Association of Respiratory Care, American Heart Association and American Society of Anesthesiologists.
