Description

The emergency glucagon kit contains 1 vial of glucagon for injection (1mg) with 1 disposable syringe and 1 ml sterile water for reconstitution. One vial contains 1 mg glucagon which corresponds to 1 IU glucagon per ml after reconstitution. The compacted powder is white whereas the solution after reconstitution is clear without any particles. The glucagon kit is simple and convenient to use. The glucagon kit is used to treat severe hypoglycemia specifically in patients with insulin-managed diabetes. It works by stimulating body cells to release glucose thus increasing sugar levels in the bloodstream.

The significant bright orange color of the kit makes it easy for the caregiver to find and take action in case of an emergency. The portable kit is easy to use at home or carry outdoors. 1 mg glucagon dose is administered either via subcutaneous or intramuscular injection. Note that the shelf life of the product is 36 months prior to reconstitution. The effect on blood glucose is seen within 10 minutes of dose injection.
