STRATAFIX™ Spiral Polypropylene Suture, undyed, size 1, 24 cm x 24 cm, with double-armed taper point needles, is a sterile, nonabsorbable knotless tissue control device designed for secure soft tissue approximation. The suture is constructed from polypropylene and features barbs arranged in a bidirectional spiral configuration to facilitate tension-free closure without the use of surgical knots.

Each end of the suture is equipped with a taper point needle to allow symmetric anchoring and tissue engagement on both sides of a wound. The barbed design eliminates the need for knots, distributes tension uniformly along the suture line, and reduces operating time by simplifying tissue closure. The device’s holding capacity is comparable to USP knot strength of conventional non-barbed sutures.

This suture is indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation where extended support, consistent wound tension, and secure, knotless closure are required. It is especially suitable for procedures involving long incisions or limited surgical access.
